A CELEBRATION OF BOOKS AND LIBRARIES
Union-Tribune language columnist and best-selling author Richard Lederer will offer a hymn of praise to books and libraries at the Friends of the Rancho Bernardo Library Annual Meeting to be held on February 8.
Following his presentation, Dr. Lederer will welcome your questions about any aspect of language.
Following the question and answer portion, Dr. Lederer will auction to attendees the right to have him make a presentation selected from his available titles to any mutually agreeable group at an available time. Proceeds from the action will go to the Friend’s fund for support of the library. At his last appearance, we raised $600 from the appearances auctioned.
Richard Lederer is the author of 50 books about language, history, and humor, including his best-selling Anguished English series and his current book, The Joy of Names. He is a founding co-host of “A Way With Words,” broadcast on KPBS Public Radio. Dr. Lederer’s has been named International Punster of the Year and Toastmasters International’s Golden Gavel winner.
The Friend's Annual Meeting will be held in the Community Room from 9:30 until noon. A detailed program will appear soon.
